Job Description
Reporting to the Business Unit Head, the Account Manager will develop and execute quarterly and annual business plans, manage retail accounts, and ensure forward orders are secured to prevent stock-outs. The role includes forecasting demand, analysing sales and stock data, and implementing effective marketing and merchandising initiatives in collaboration with Core Group’s teams. Additionally, the Account Manager will handle account administration, partner claims, and billing while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. This is a commercially driven role requiring excellent negotiation, organisational, and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement quarterly and annual business plans with retail partners.
Achieve and exceed SME retailer sales targets (sell-in and sell-out).
Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailer stakeholders.
Secure forward orders and forecast demand to prevent stock-outs.
Analyse sales and stock reports to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with Core Group marketing and field teams on campaigns and in-store initiatives.
Ensure effective in-store merchandising and brand visibility.
Manage account administration, including partner claims and billing.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications
Grade 12 plus a relevant tertiary qualification.
Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail supplier environment.
Experience managing accounts in electronics or consumer technology is advantageous.
Competencies
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MacOS, and iOS.
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
