Reports to: Technician Maintenance
The Plant Operator II Maintenance (Civil) is responsible for performing civil works maintenance tasks, including construction, repair, and upkeep of plant infrastructure and facilities. The role ensures that all civil structures are safe, functional, and maintained to support production and operational efficiency.

How to Apply
Infrastructure Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine and emergency maintenance of civil infrastructure such as floors, walls, drainage systems, pathways, and buildings. Repair and refurbish damaged structures, including masonry, concrete works, and tiling. Conduct minor carpentry works to repair doors, frames, and partitions within the plant.
Construction Works: Assist in the construction of small-scale civil structures as required, including foundations, partitions, and flooring. Quality assurance and observation in construction works.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct inspections of civil infrastructure to identify signs of deterioration or hazards. Perform preventive maintenance to prolong the lifespan of buildings, walkways, and drainage systems. Document maintenance activities and recommend improvement solutions.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and best practices during civil maintenance and construction activities. Use appropriate tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during tasks. Ensure all civil works comply with structural standards and environmental safety guidelines.
Material Management: Ensure effective use of materials and tools during civil works and maintenance. Assist in monitoring inventory for construction materials and report stock shortages for replenishment. Safeguard tools and equipment used during maintenance operations.
Collaboration and Support: Work closely with the electrical and mechanical maintenance teams to support plant-wide maintenance efforts. Support production and logistics teams in ensuring functional infrastructure to facilitate operations. Assist external contractors working on civil projects within the plant when necessary.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare daily and weekly reports on tasks completed and materials used. Update supervisors on the status of ongoing repairs or construction works.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.
Education Background
Certificate Level II in Brick/ Block Laying and Concrete Practice or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience
At least two (2) years of experience in civil works maintenance, construction or a related field.
Skills
Proficiency in masonry, concrete works, carpentry, and basic construction techniques
Ability to use hand and power tools, construction equipment, and materials effectively
Knowledge of building maintenance procedures and safety regulations
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Basic computer knowledge
Preferred Skills
Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Familiarity with drainage systems, excavation, and site preparation
Understanding of structural integrity and repair standards
