Job Description
The (Senior) Syndications Officer will be part of IFC’s Syndicated Loans and Mobilization Department (CSL), focusing on the Credit Insurance Program. This includes developing new credit insurance products and programs, managing relationships with global insurers, supporting transaction execution, updating policy frameworks, and collaborating across departments to streamline operations and risk mitigation. The Officer will act as a product specialist and liaise with internal and external partners to expand credit insurance utilization and improve mobilization efforts.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Product & Program Development
Develop new products and programs to expand IFC’s credit insurance capacity.
Provide transaction structuring support involving credit insurance.
Identify strategic areas for expanding credit insurance use (e.g., local currency transactions).
Lead internal training initiatives on credit insurance.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Strengthen relationships with investment teams, syndications officers, and global insurers.
Address credit insurance-related inquiries and streamline operational processes.
Act as liaison for credit insurance matters across sectors and regions.
Operational Coordination & Efficiency
Coordinate implementation of new MCPP unfunded programs.
Collaborate with Legal for documentation and credit insurance procurement.
Improve operational procedures and strategic partnerships for procurement efficiency.
Strategic Leadership & Policy Development
Contribute to policy and framework development.
Advise on structuring and integrating credit insurance into IFC’s financial products.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 8 years of experience in the financial sector, especially in international credit structures, structured debt, and loan documentation.
Understanding of the credit insurance market and its products is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of portfolio management, accounting, and financial systems.
Experience in creating new financial products or processes.
Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills.
Strong understanding of investment processes and transaction structuring.
Demonstrated team player with mentorship and collaboration skills.
Effective in multicultural teams and cross-functional environments.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
Commitment to the mission, strategy, and values of the World Bank Group and IFC.
Highest ethical standards and willingness to travel.
