Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate lathe machines to machine shafts, threads, bushes and other mechanical components.
- Work to required dimensions and tolerances from drawings and specifications.
- Maintain safe machine operation and observe workshop safety and PPE requirements.
- Report machine faults and defects to the supervisor.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate, diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical lathe machine operating experience.
- Experience machining shafts, threads, bushes and other mechanical components.
- Relevant industrial or oil and gas workshop experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of workshop safety, PPE requirements and safe machine operation.
- Basic English communication.
