Job Title: Technician Maintenance (Electrical)

Reports to: Senior Technician (Maintenance)
To ensure the proper functioning of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment through regular maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.

How to Apply
Routine Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functioning, including regular inspections and addressing any issues that arise to maintain equipment reliability.
Issue Diagnosis and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime, ensuring quick identification and rectification of problems to maintain production schedules and operational efficiency.
Preventive Maintenance Implementation: Implement and follow preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment, reducing the likelihood of unexpected failures and enhancing overall system performance.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards to protect personnel and minimize risks associated with maintenance work.
Record Keeping and Coordination: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used; coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities in a manner that does not disrupt production, fostering collaboration and efficient operations.
Prepare Monthly Work Plans and Reports: Develop and submit monthly work plans and performance reports, detailing progress and key performance indicators for assigned duties.
Additional Duties: Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education Background
Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a credit score (Credit 6) in both Mathematics and English.
Experience
At least three (3) years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
Skills

Effective communication and teamwork.
Problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to safety and quality.
Basic computer skills/knowledge.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in mechanical and electrical maintenance techniques.
Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
