Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Compute and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax and social security contributions
- Ensure timely tax payments and follow up periodic declarations as required by law
- Prepare payment documents, submit them to Payables and follow up on completion
- Monitor accounts so tax expenses and payments are correctly posted
- Prepare the tax documents required for reviews and audits
- Assist with reconciliation of sales and revenue accounts for VAT purposes
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- CPA, ACCA or CAT certification
- 2 to 4 years' experience in tax or general accounting
- Working knowledge of Rwandan tax and social security declarations
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and integrity
