Job Description
Alignturn is looking for skilled Swahili audio transcribers to convert spoken audio into accurate, well-formatted written text. You will work with a variety of audio content including interviews, conversations, podcasts, and field recordings that blend standard Kiswahili with local slang and regional dialects.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Transcribe Swahili audio recordings into accurate written text
- Capture slang, code-switching, and dialectal expressions faithfully
- Flag unclear audio segments and provide contextual notes where needed
- Maintain consistent formatting and follow our style guide
- Deliver completed transcripts within assigned deadlines
