How to Apply

The Standards Officers will mainly provide standardization activities to UNBS stakeholders and the successful candidates shall be required to perform the following duties;

  • Develop, implement and enforce National Standards as guided by UNBS Act, regulations and procedures

  • Offer technical and scientific input in the planning and operations of UNBS standardization programmes

  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and incorporate requirements in the work programmes in consultation with the supervisors

  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports

  • Conduct any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors or management.

  • The applicants should  possess  an  Honours  Degree  in  Engineering  (Civil, Automotive, Petroleum, Mechanical and Electrical), Chemistry, Food Science and Technology and Physics qualifications from recognized University/Institutions

  • The applicants must be computer literate with skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet applications.

  • At least two years’ post-graduation experience

  • The successful candidates need to be team players, excellent communicators with good oral communication and presentation skills.

  • The successful candidate must be presentable, a person of integrity, with good communication ability, a high level of professionalism and a team player.
