Craft Silicon is hiring a Software Project Manager to manage financial software development lifecycles, coordinate developer sprint planning, and lead client release deployments, across fintech operations in Nairobi. The position is based in Nairobi.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Managing software development project lifecycles for core banking and financial solutions.
Coordinating developer sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release deployment milestones.
Gathering technical business requirements and translating them into developer user stories.
Managing client communication, software testing sign-offs, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Monitoring project timelines, budget burn rates, and resource utilization efficiency.
Identifying software technical risks, architectural bottlenecks, and deployment blockers.
Ensuring software deliverables adhere to financial security standards and quality guidelines.
Conducting post-implementation reviews and preparing project closure documentation.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Agile Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Minimum of four (4) years of project management experience in software development or fintech.
Proven track record of delivering enterprise mobile or web software applications on schedule.

Skills & Competencies:

Expertise in Agile/Scrum and Kanban software development frameworks.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), APIs, and microservices.
High proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and software task management tools.
Exceptional client management, negotiation, and requirement elicitation skills.
Strong technical writing skills for functional specifications and API release notes.
