Job Title

Senior Procurement Officer job at Hariss International Limited

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Procurement Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement of products and services, negotiating contracts and coordinating with vendors.

As a Procurement Officer, you should have excellent research, negotiation and communication skills. You should also be able to analyze market trends and identify potential vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities

Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
Lead the procurement process from initial request to final delivery.
Negotiate contracts and prices with vendors.
Monitor the delivery of goods and services.
Track inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of items.
Maintain vendor database and records.

Qualifications and Competencies

A minimum of a Bachelors in Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline
CIPS is an additional advantage
A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment Proven work experience as a Procurement Officer.
Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent research and market analysis skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work
