Senior Investigator

The Senior Investigator investigates known or suspected acts of fraud involving the Bank's funds, property, employees and customers as requested by senior management or the Board, mitigating fraud risk and supporting recovery of losses.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Receive complaints and allegations of misconduct and conduct preliminary inquiries
Collect and analyse data and report how each fraud incident was perpetrated, the parties responsible and amounts lost
Maintain a register of all fraud cases and follow up to ensure recovery of amounts lost
Ensure safe custody of all evidence gathered and avail it when needed
Act as expert witness during disciplinary and court proceedings
Identify business objectives, assess risk and develop investigation plans for assigned engagements
Perform field work and prepare quality working papers in line with investigations standards

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics or IT
Full professional qualification in ACCA, CPA, CFE, CIA or CISA
At least three years' experience in financial crime investigations or in security agencies handling investigations
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office programs
Cyber forensic investigation and analysis skills are an added advantage
At least a credit in Mathematics and English at O' Level and two principal passes at A' Level
