Senior Consultant (Maternal Fetal Medicine)

• Manage high-risk pregnancies and provide advanced fetal medicine assessment
• Perform and interpret prenatal diagnostic investigations and fetal assessment
• Plan and manage care for complicated pregnancies in collaboration with the obstetric team
• Provide specialist maternal fetal medicine services across the referral hospital network
• Provide specialist clinical care and technical leadership within the specialty
• Supervise and mentor junior medical officers, interns and allied health staff
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and morbidity and mortality reviews
• Support referral systems and continuity of care across the referral hospital network
• Contribute to teaching, research and health service planning in the specialty

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent
• Master of Medicine (MMed) or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification in the relevant specialty
• Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
• Valid annual practising licence
• Post-registration specialist experience in the relevant field
