JOB TITLE: Senior Compliance Officer (1 Vacancy)
REPORTS TO: Head of Compliance
JOB PURPOSE: To oversee the day-to-day legal and regulatory compliance responsibilities for UNOC and its subsidiaries, including drafting and reviewing relevant policies and providing support to management on compliance matters.

How to Apply
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in the development and implementation of a compliance framework for UNOC and its subsidiaries.
Contribute to the creation of tools, systems, and processes that promote a compliance culture within UNOC and its subsidiaries.
Support the development and review of internal policies for UNOC and its subsidiaries.
Assist in conducting regular compliance evaluations for UNOC and its subsidiaries.
Support the preparation of regular compliance reports for the Executive Committee (EXCO) and the Board.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments both locally and globally that may impact UNOC's business, ensuring effective communication and compliance.
Assist the Head of Compliance in liaising with industry regulators to maintain a coordinated working relationship between UNOC and regulatory bodies.
Participate in the preparation of compliance plans, ensuring the compliance framework is continuously updated and followed.
Engage in initiatives and processes to raise awareness across UNOC about legal, regulatory, and internal policy compliance requirements.
Provide legal and regulatory compliance advice and guidance to UNOC and its subsidiaries when needed.
Support the maintenance of regulatory documentation databases, ensuring laws and regulations are kept up to date.
Coordinate and ensure all necessary submissions to regulators are made promptly and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Law (LLB).
Minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years in governance-related roles within a reputable corporate entity.
Proven experience in drafting and reviewing policies and internal processes.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Strong analytical, research, and drafting skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sound judgment with the ability to anticipate legal issues or risks.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in compliance management.
Experience in implementing monitoring tools.
Knowledge of contract risk management.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
