JOB TITLE: Senior Board Affairs Officer (1 Vacancy)

REPORTS TO: Manager, Board Affairs

JOB PURPOSE:To assist the Manager, Board Affairs in coordinating and supporting the activities of the UNOC Board, including organizing venues for meetings, distributing Board papers to members, filing Board documents, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the Board.

How to Apply

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the Board Affairs Unit.

  • Prepare the Board calendar and training plans for Board members.

  • Manage all procurements related to Board activities.

  • Draft advisory notes on corporate or other matters as needed.

  • Prepare relevant reports concerning Board matters when required.

  • Ensure timely filing of all governance-related documents.

  • Schedule Board meetings and ensure smooth execution of all Board activities.

  • Assist the Manager, Board Affairs, in drafting and reviewing Board documents.

  • Coordinate with various parties to ensure Board papers are prepared in advance and meet the required formats.

  • Implement tools and frameworks for managing and controlling Board documents.

  • Support initiatives aimed at raising awareness across UNOC on legal, regulatory, and internal compliance policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Law (LLB).

  • Diploma in Legal Practice.

  • A valid practicing certificate is essential.

  • Membership in ICSA is an added advantage.

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in a reputable corporate entity.

  • Proven experience handling Board matters and providing advisory services in a large corporate setting.
