Tana is a tech career platform connecting African software talent with international technology opportunities. The Senior Backend .NET Developer owns the backend architecture of a commercial real estate software platform managing lease agreements, accounting compliance, and task workflows. The position leads backend service development using C#/.NET Core and GraphQL while supporting cloud deployments on Azure.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain backend services in C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core.
Build and maintain the GraphQL API layer consumed by frontend web applications.
Design database schemas and data access for SQL and NoSQL databases including Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.
Integrate with Azure services for cloud storage, identity/authentication, functions and search.
Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices across APIs using OAuth2 and JWT.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

5+ years of hands-on backend development experience in C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core.
Demonstrated experience building GraphQL APIs using Hot Chocolate or similar frameworks.
Strong database design and querying skills with SQL Server/Azure SQL and NoSQL databases.

Skills & Competencies:

C#/.NET Core and GraphQL API development.
Azure cloud infrastructure and database design.
Clean Architecture, DDD, and CQRS design patterns.
