Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Build and own sophisticated event-driven microservices that power M-KOPA Mobility products
- Design, develop and maintain backend systems in C#/.NET across the full software stack
- Work with Service Bus or similar messaging technologies to build reliable event-driven systems
- Apply microservices architecture patterns and containerisation with Kubernetes and Docker
- Run workloads on Azure, with exposure to AWS or GCP where relevant
- Implement observability and monitoring in all environments, including production, using Prometheus and Grafana
- Practise DevOps and infrastructure as code with automated testing across environments
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code in the engineering workflow
- Collaborate in a team that owns the entire software stack, including supporting infrastructure
- Contribute alongside more senior engineers with emphasis on high quality output
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong grasp of C# .NET development
- Experience with event-driven systems: Service Bus, Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Microservices architecture experience
- Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
- Testing and deployment expertise with a DevOps culture mindset
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code
