Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Guard the branch premises, entrances and parking areas during trading hours.
- Control entry and screen visitors, contractors and deliveries.
- Monitor customer and staff movement to prevent theft and loss of stock.
- Conduct regular patrols of the shop floor, store and perimeter.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances and emergencies and report incidents.
- Keep a record of incidents and hand over properly at shift change.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous security or guarding experience is an advantage.
- Physically fit and alert.
- Able to work shifts including nights and weekends.
- Good communication and record keeping skills.
Skills & Competencies:
- Vigilance and observation.
- Crowd and access control.
- Incident reporting.
- Integrity and discipline.
