Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Transport students safely and punctually on designated school routes and schedules.
- Ensure all students are seated and secure before operating the vehicle.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness.
- Report mechanical faults and accidental damage immediately to the Fleet Supervisor.
- Comply strictly with all Kenyan traffic laws, speed limits, and defensive driving standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentable hygiene standards of the bus interior and exterior daily.
- Maintain accurate trip, fuel, and vehicle maintenance records.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Kenyan driver's licence (D1, D2, D3) with an institutional badge
- Minimum 3 years of school or institutional bus driving experience
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct
Skills & Competencies:
- Defensive driving and road safety compliance
- Basic vehicle mechanics and maintenance inspection
- Child safeguarding awareness and patient demeanor
- Effective communication skills
