Twyford International Uganda is hiring a Safety Officer for its Engineering Department to maintain a safe and healthy working environment at its office building construction site in Kapeeka.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and workplace safety standards.
Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and awareness sessions for construction workers.
Identify workplace risks and support preventive safety measures.
Document accidents, near misses and safety concerns and escalate them to management.
Promote a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in construction site safety.
Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.

Skills & Competencies:

Hazard identification.
Safety training delivery.
Incident reporting.
Attention to detail.
