Relationship Officer – Agribusiness

• Acquire new agribusiness clients including farmers, cooperatives, and agri-enterprises and grow the agribusiness loan portfolio.
• Conduct client appraisals, assess creditworthiness, and process agribusiness loan applications.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing agribusiness clients to ensure retention and cross-selling of bank products.
• Monitor loan repayments and proactively manage portfolio quality and PAR within the agribusiness segment.
• Provide financial literacy and product education to agribusiness clients.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and bank credit policies in all client dealings.
• Prepare accurate loan documentation and submit timely reports to the Branch Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in agribusiness lending, agricultural finance, or banking relationship management.

Skills & Competencies:

• Understanding of the agricultural value chain and agribusiness operations in Uganda.
• Strong credit assessment and client appraisal skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Results-oriented with ability to meet lending targets.
