Reception Night Auditor

Sokoni Africa is hiring a Reception Night Auditor to welcome and check in/out guests during the night shift, perform end-of-day audits, reconcile hotel transactions, and ensure the security and smooth operation of the hotel overnight.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Welcome and check in/check out guests during the night shift
Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests
Perform end-of-day audits and reconcile all hotel transactions
Verify guest accounts, payments, and billing accuracy
Balance cash, credit card, and other payment transactions
Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports
Ensure the security and safety of guests, staff, and hotel property during the night shift
Handle reservations, room allocations, and guest requests
Coordinate with housekeeping and security to ensure smooth hotel operations
Report maintenance issues and incidents occurring during the shift

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
At least 1 year of experience as a Night Auditor, Receptionist, Front Desk Agent, or in a similar hotel role
Experience using hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies:

Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
Must be willing to work overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays
