The Qualitative Field Interviewer collects data for a health study in Busia, moderating interviews and group discussions with community members and documenting findings accurately.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Moderate and facilitate qualitative interviews with community members in the study area.
Take notes and compile comprehensive qualitative interview debriefing reports.
Prepare data collection progress reports and updates.
Observe research ethics and informed consent procedures during interviews.
Perform other tasks assigned by the team leader and principal investigator.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public health or another relevant subject.
Proven experience in qualitative research methods such as FGDs, IDIs or KIIs.
Fluent in English and Kiswahili, both oral and written.
Strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills.
Available to work full time for the duration of the study.
Residents of Busia or areas close to the study sites have an added advantage.

Communication in English and Kiswahili.
Research ethics awareness.
