The QA Engineer owns end to end quality for BURN's electric stove platform, spanning physical hardware, embedded Linux gateways, AWS IoT Core and the PAYG mobile app. The role is hands-on and works closely with firmware, backend and mobile engineers.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Design and execute the system-level QA strategy across firmware, IoT gateway, cloud backend and mobile app layers.
Define risk-based test priorities and coverage for connected cooking devices.
Build automation tooling and instrument hardware for testing.
Collaborate daily with firmware engineers, backend developers and mobile engineers.
Own quality end to end from stove hardware through AWS IoT Core infrastructure to the PAYG mobile application.
Document defects, track fixes and verify releases before shipment.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical field.
Experience in software or firmware quality assurance, including test automation.
Familiarity with embedded devices, IoT platforms or mobile application testing.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Ability to work hands-on with hardware in a lab or production environment.
