The consultant is a senior content leader responsible for final editorial approval of everything learners see across the Quest programmes, setting standards and making the judgement calls on what is ready to publish. It is an oversight rather than production role.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Own final editorial review and approval of all learner-facing content across Quest, Quest Ascend and Quest Launchpad.
Set and maintain content standards on learning outcomes, voice, reading level, word limits, factual accuracy and cultural relevance.
Document standards as a style guide the content team works to.
Review content for pedagogical soundness, progression and assessment alignment.
Verify that content intended for AI scoring will return accurate and useful automated feedback.
Coach content designers, content owners and contracted writers through structured feedback.
Validate post-school, university application and careers guidance against current requirements in Kenya and other markets.
Run a predictable review cadence with agreed turnaround times so review does not bottleneck the pipeline.
Audit published content against learner completion data and feedback.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Demonstrated senior-level content leadership, ideally in education or learning design.
Strong editorial judgement and the ability to set and enforce content standards.
Understanding of pedagogy, learning outcomes and assessment design.
Knowledge of post-school, university application and careers pathways in Kenya.
Experience coaching writers and improving team capability through feedback.

Skills & Competencies:

Excellent written English and editing discipline.
Clear, constructive feedback that raises the writer's capability.
Ability to make approve-or-revise decisions confidently and consistently.
Data-informed review using completion and learner feedback evidence.
Strong organisation and turnaround discipline in a remote team.
