Description (Public)

AWYAD is seeking qualified, competent, and passionate individuals to fill the following positions across different field locations in Uganda under its Protection Programme.

The Protection (GBV & CP) Officer will support the implementation of integrated gender-based violence and child protection interventions while strengthening case management, referral pathways, and community engagement mechanisms.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Support implementation of GBV and child protection activities.
Supervise and support case workers in service delivery.
Strengthen referral systems and coordination mechanisms.
Conduct community engagement and awareness activities.
Monitor protection concerns and prepare reports.
Ensure adherence to safeguarding and protection standards.
Support documentation, data collection, and case follow-up activities.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Psychology, Development Studies, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in child protection programming.
