Job Description
We are looking for passionate and self driven professionals to join our team under the Kulea Watoto 2.0 project and contribute to our vision and mission.

Scope of Work
The Project Officer will support the effective implementation of Kulea Watoto 2.0 activities in Yumbe district (Bidibidi refugee settlement and host communities), ensuring high-quality delivery of integrated Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) interventions among refugee and host communities. The role focuses on day-to-day field coordination, partner engagement, monitoring of activities, in line with project objectives and donor requirements.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the rollout of Kulea Watoto 2.0 activities in Yumbe in line with approved work plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate field-level implementation of responsive caregiving, early learning, livelihoods strengthening, and ECD service delivery interventions.
- Work closely with implementing partners (IRC, Madrasa Early Childhood Program, KRC, and LABE) to ensure harmonized and complementary implementation.
- Facilitate coordination with district local governments, refugee leadership structures, and community-based stakeholders while maintaining strong working relationships with the same structures
- Collect, verify, and submit accurate project data and reports from the field in line with MEAL frameworks.
- Support routine monitoring visits to ECD centres, home-based care settings, and livelihood groups and supported enterprises to assess quality and progress as well as prepare timely field activity reports, quarterly updates
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and challenges to inform adaptive programming and learning.
- Contribute to local-level advocacy and engagement activities that promote an enabling environment for ECD.
- Ensure compliance with AfriChild Centre policies, donor guidelines, and partnership agreements while promoting child safeguarding, protection, and inclusion principles in all project activities.
- Participate actively and contribute to the organization of joint field monitoring activities
- Promptly report concerns or incidents to management, liaising with community leaders and other external parties as necessary to maintain and enhance the security environment, while maintaining open and professional relationships that promote strong team spirit and enable partner staff to perform successfully in their roles.
- Any other duties that nay be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
