Job Description

  • Lead a multi-functional team to deliver project plans, engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning for a major pipeline project.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, OEMs, vessel operators, regulators, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

  • Maintain and monitor detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk management frameworks.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, project assurance activities, and capital stewardship practices.

  • Provide oversight, supervision, and expeditious resolution of project-related issues.

  • Mentor field engineering teams and foster a culture of high performance and accountability.

  • Interface with executive management, providing updates on cost, schedule, risks, mitigation plans, and trade-offs.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.

  • Project Management certification (PMI or equivalent) required.

  • Minimum of 15 years’ facilities/engineering/project management experience in oil and gas, with at least 10 years in major pipeline construction supervisory roles.

  • At least 5 years’ offshore pipeline project management experience in the Niger Delta oil fields (advantage).

  • Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is required.

  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong communication and ability to facilitate multicultural, multifunctional teams.

  • Proven experience in offshore installations, including PLEMs and offshore buoys.

  • Resilient and adaptable to the unique challenges of Niger Delta operations.
