• Provide bedside nursing care to patients in the ward, ICU and operating room.
• Identify changes in patient condition and respond with urgency during the shift.
• Ensure proper daily use and handover of ICU and ward machines and equipment.
• Implement patient discharge and referral plans within the shift.
• Monitor all indwelling devices using the appropriate checklists.
• Interpret vital signs, intervene on changes and document findings accurately.
• Attend to emergencies using ICU and ward nursing standards and protocols.
• Carry out nursing assessments and collect comprehensive patient data.
• Update the multidisciplinary team and document in patient charts.
• Provide health education to patients and caregivers.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completed Diploma in Nursing or an equivalent combination of higher education and relevant experience.
• Valid practicing license from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Good knowledge of general scientific principles, practices and specialised nursing techniques.
