Job Description
The People Partner will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and operational teams, helping them navigate organizational growth and transformation. Responsibilities include partnering with leaders on headcount planning, performance management, onboarding, and employee engagement. The role also entails conducting performance calibrations and compensation reviews, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing investigations into employee concerns, and delivering unbiased outcomes. The People Partner will design scalable HR processes tailored to Zipline’s unique business environment while modeling company values and fostering a culture of accountability, fairness, and development.

Become an expert in Zipline’s business and challenges as the company expands.
Partner with operational leads to build and maintain high-performing teams.
Act as a culture ambassador, embedding Zipline’s values in leadership and employee engagement.
Collaborate with leads on headcount planning and organizational design.
Ensure effective onboarding and integration of new hires and internal transfers.
Hold leaders accountable for providing clear, actionable performance feedback.
Drive performance calibrations and compensation reviews to ensure fairness.
Provide direct feedback to leaders not meeting leadership expectations.
Design and implement scalable HR processes to support growth.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Assess employee concerns, conduct investigations with legal counsel, and recommend outcomes.
Support continuous development and growth of employees and leaders.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in HR/People roles.
Strong ability to build relationships and earn trust across all organizational levels.
Proven experience driving organizational change and improving performance.
Skilled at addressing complex people issues with practical solutions.
Strong communication and conflict management skills, with discretion in handling sensitive matters.
Demonstrated ability to deliver tough messages with clarity and fairness.
Organized, dependable, and approachable, with strong presence in day-to-day team affairs.
High integrity, impartiality, and professionalism.
Must have the legal right to work in Rwanda.
Willingness to travel frequently to Muhanga, Kayonza, and internationally.
