Payable Accountant

• Complete payments and control expenses by processing and reconciling invoices
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers
• Pay vendors by scheduling checks and resolving discrepancies
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting transactions
• Disburse petty cash and verify documentation
• Prepare analyses of accounts and monthly reports

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or relevant discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role

Skills & Competencies:

• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills
• Knowledge of Pastel, SAP, QuickBooks or other accounting packages
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
