  • Education: A bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, food science, or a related field is typically required. Some positions may require a master's degree or higher.

  • Certification/Licensure: Many jurisdictions require nutritionists to be certified or licensed. Certification is often obtained through organizations such as the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists (BCNS).

  • Continuing Education: Nutritionists must stay current with advances in the field by participating in continuing education programs and obtaining relevant certifications.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively counseling and educating clients.


  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret nutritional data, assess clients' dietary needs, and develop appropriate nutrition plans.

  • Empathy: Being empathetic and understanding of clients' challenges and motivations can facilitate behavior change and adherence to nutrition recommendations.

  • Ethical Standards: Adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards in providing nutrition advice and counseling.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using nutrition analysis software, as well as knowledge of food composition databases and dietary guidelines.

• The application should be completed and submitted ONLINE.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
• Shortlisted candidates shall, where applicable, be required to bring their original certificates, letters of appointment, three copies of completed PSF 3, Registration Certificates and Valid Practicing Licenses and evidence of active service, at the oral interview.
• Candidates who will present forged certificates and other documents shall be handed over to the Police for appropriate action.
• Health Workers who are on long-term training (one year and above) must not apply.
