Job Description
The Microbiology Analyst – OSD QC will be responsible for microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, water testing, and documentation in compliance with GMP and ALCOA+ principles. The role supports quality control operations through accurate testing, investigations, audits, and laboratory maintenance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform environmental monitoring (EM), water testing, MLT/bioburden, and product testing
- Prepare, sterilize, and perform GPT of microbiological media
- Follow GMP, SOPs, aseptic practices, and ALCOA+ data integrity principles
- Operate and maintain LAFs, incubators, autoclaves, and air samplers
- Record results in logbooks and analytical worksheets accurately
- Prepare SOPs and STPs related to microbiological processes
- Support OOS/OOT investigations, deviations, and CAPA activities
- Assist in audits, method validation/transfer, and documentation
- Ensure biosafety compliance and proper waste disposal
