Merchandiser

The Merchandiser is responsible for merchandising, product display and in-store execution across supermarkets, hypermarkets, wholesalers and modern trade outlets, reporting daily activity through mobile data collection tools.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Execute merchandising and product display standards in store
Apply planogram, shelf share, FIFO/FEFO, stock rotation and pricing guidelines
Handle brand promotions and POSM placement in-store
Collect and report daily field data using a smartphone
Build relationships with store staff and negotiate display space

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Commerce or a related field
1 to 2 years of experience in merchandising, sales, FMCG or modern trade
Experience working with supermarkets, hypermarkets, wholesalers or major retail chains is preferred
Experience handling brand promotions, POSM and in-store execution is an advantage
Strong merchandising and product display skills
Good communication and negotiation skills
Smartphone and data collection skills for daily reporting (must be Android)
