• Collect, label and handle patient samples according to standard procedure.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare samples for referral where required.
• Record, verify and dispatch laboratory results to the requesting clinician promptly.
• Maintain laboratory registers, request forms and result records.
• Keep laboratory equipment clean, calibrated and in working order.
• Manage laboratory supplies and report stock needs and expiries.
• Observe biosafety, infection prevention and waste disposal standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certificate or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council is an advantage.
• Experience in a health facility laboratory is an advantage.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality control and biosafety practices.
