Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as Coordinator planning for MDR-TB by providing technical guidance and ensure smooth implementation of MDR TB activities at all levels.
- Provide supportive supervision to Health workers to conduct MDR TB Surveillance.
- Ensure TB Health Workers and IPs capacity is built in relation the program.
- Mobilize and sensitize communities for MDR TB prevention and Patient management.
- Organize TWG meetings, review guidelines, and develop strategies for PMDT.
- Lead in Surveillance data and operation research.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Person Specifications / Qualifications:
- Applicants should be Ugandans holding MBChB Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
- A postgraduate qualification in Public Health, Epidemiology or Community health or Health Services Management or medicine in any area of specialization or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
- A certificate in management of Tuberculosis is an added advantage.
- At least six (6) years of experience, three (3) of which should be at a level of senior medical officer on its equivalent.
- Proven experience within DR-TB units, treatment, care, and program management, often in non-profit or public health sectors.
- Current registration with relevant professional bodies.
