About Organisation:
The MD is responsible for the overall management of the two production sites in Uganda (almost 1000 employees). He/she oversees both the cultivation technical and business economic results of both sites. A permanent focus on quality, order fulfillment and productivity is essential in this (Quality, On Time, In Full). The MD leads and works closely with the Management Team. He/she is an inspiring people manager with natural superiority, who secures trust and high dedication among employees. In consultation with the mother company in the Netherlands, the MD co-determines the multi-year policy plan.

How to Apply
Further focus points are:
Ensuring a clear structure in business operations and making adjustments where necessary
Managing, motivating and coaching the Management Team and several department heads.
Develop and successfully implement improvement processes regarding planning, production and logistics.
Ensuring optimal execution and delivery of the extensive and complex breeding programs.
Maintain and further develop relationships with external stakeholders such as local authorities, unions, etc. Taking care of the communication process between Uganda and NL
Supervising the budget results of the production locations in Uganda and in line with this setting up and monitoring KPIs.
You will report directly to the Manager International Operations in the Netherlands.
You are unique
We are looking for a colleague who shares our passion for flowers and plants.
You have broad relevant experience in agri cultivation with at least 500fte in Uganda or in one of the surrounding countries, e.g. as General Manager or Farm Manager.

We are looking for candidates who:
Have a completed agricultural HBO or Master’s degree
Have good knowledge of production and logistical processes
Have a good command of the English language, both oral and written. Dutch is an advantage.
Are result-, action- and quality-oriented
Combine decisiveness and conviction with pragmatism and analytical ability
Excellent communicative and social skills
