Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
Setting up, calibrating, and operating avocado oil extraction equipment (presses, centrifuges, decanters, separators).
Monitoring machine controls and pulp inputs, making adjustments for optimal performance.
Troubleshooting malfunctions, performing minor adjustments, and escalating major repairs.
Conducting quality checks on oil purity, viscosity, color, and moisture levels.
Recording accurate production data, calibration records, and daily logs.
Cleaning and sanitizing machines and work areas to prevent contamination.
Following safety procedures for machine operation, startup, shutdown, and inspections.
Collaborating with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operate and monitor oil extraction machinery.
Perform daily calibrations and quality control checks.
Troubleshoot and escalate machinery issues.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspace.
Keep detailed records of production and maintenance.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficiency and safety compliance.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Certifications
Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
Occupational Trade Test III/II/I for Machine Operators (recognized institution).
First Aid Certificate (minimum 1 week, recognized institution).
Experience
At least 3 years of hands-on machine operation experience in food processing or manufacturing.
Experience with oil extraction equipment is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to run complex machinery.
Familiarity with automated production systems and machine interfaces.
Attention to detail in calibration, setup, and QC checks.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in computer applications for reporting.
Physically fit and able to work long hours in fast-paced environments.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
