Job Title: Machine Operator - Oil Filling

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Reporting To Shift Supervisor - Oil Filling, The Successful Candidate Will;
Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of production machines with assistance of the Engineering team.
Operate production machines efficiently with less or no wastage.
Conduct regular inspections, reporting maintenance needs.
Follow safety protocols, reporting incidents or hazards.
Assist in repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
Control wastage of materials and recycling.
Ensuring that the products produced are of good quality.
Adhere to health and safety practices.
To oversee housekeeping around the machine area.
Check the materials provided to ensure rightful amounts and materials are provided.
Inspect the machines regularly to ensure they are in good and operational condition.
Detect and report any faults to the Plant Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education with a bias in science subjects.
2+ years of experience operating filling machines/lines in a manufacturing plant.
Skills & Professional Attributes Required:
Good communication skills including reading skills.
An aptitude for math.
Mechanical ability.
Physical strength and stamina.
The ability to work in high places.
The ability to get along well with co-workers.
The ability to keep up to date with changing technology.
Creativity
The ability to do precision work
