Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator I will support in-country logistics operations for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, ensuring efficient transport, customs clearance, and materials management. The successful candidate will oversee contractor performance, track purchase orders and shipments, and ensure compliance with project schedules and regulatory standards. This role demands a strong understanding of logistics infrastructure, contractor management, and documentation processes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate logistics and materials management processes across EPC projects.
Serve as liaison between Logistics Manager/Lead and contractor organizations.
Collaborate with procurement teams to oversee contracting and delivery plans.
Monitor purchase orders (POs) to ensure compliance with Required On Site (ROS) dates.
Track and report on material movements, delivery status, and contractor KPIs.
Verify delivery documentation and ensure materials meet purchase order specifications.
Develop scope of work for logistics contractors and assess their capabilities.
Ensure secure storage and proper labeling of materials for traceability.
Report and document all Overage, Shortage, and Damaged (OS&D) items.
Maintain detailed shipment and material issue records.
Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Travel to project sites (domestic and international) as needed.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
BSc in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
5 – 10 years of experience in logistics planning, construction, or procurement within the oil and gas sector.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills (percentages, area, volume, algebra, geometry).
Proficiency in documentation and logistics software tools.
Excellent communication, coordination, and contractor management skills.
Willingness to travel for field assignments.
