IUEA is seeking competent and experienced Lecturers in Finance and Accounting to join its academic team. The position is open to candidates from the university alumni network and beyond, and offers flexible working arrangements — either part-time (2 days per week) or full-time (3 days per week), with candidates free to choose their preferred working days.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures in Finance and Accounting to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students
- Develop and update course content, lesson plans, and teaching materials in line with the university curriculum
- Conduct assessments, mark assignments, and provide timely feedback to students
- Engage in academic research and contribute to the university research agenda
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic reviews, and university activities
- Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certified Accountant or Auditor (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent)
- Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (minimum requirement)
- Preferably pursuing or holding a PhD in a relevant discipline
- Previous teaching or lecturing experience at a university level is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong teaching and presentation skills
- Active research interest and ability to publish or contribute to academic work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to student success
- Ability to work flexibly — part-time or full-time as required
