The Lecturer teaches Counselling Psychology and related areas at Kabarak University, supervises student research and contributes to the department's research, publication and academic service obligations.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Teach four courses per semester in Counselling Psychology and related areas.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Set, invigilate and mark assignments, tests and examinations and submit results for recording.
Participate in academic seminars, workshops, conferences and departmental activities.
Engage in research and publish in refereed journals to meet publication requirements.
Apply modern teaching methods and e-learning tools in course delivery.
Perform any other duties assigned by University Management.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Earned PhD or equivalent degree in Counselling Psychology, Psychology, Guidance and Counselling or a related field from an accredited university.
At least three years of teaching experience at university level, or equivalent research or industry experience.
A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least 16 are from refereed journal papers.
Registered with the relevant professional body where applicable.
Ability to use modern teaching methods and e-learning tools.
