Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive, register, label, and prepare samples for testing in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory analyses using calibrated testing instruments.
- Operate, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Follow quality assurance protocols, participate in proficiency testing, and record test results accurately.
- Maintain complete laboratory registers, test worksheets, and equipment usage logs.
- Adhere strictly to biosafety, chemical handling, PPE, and waste disposal regulations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Applied Biology, Chemistry, or Microbiology
- At least 3 years of relevant laboratory testing experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Practical sample preparation and analytical testing skills
- Laboratory quality control and QA procedure compliance
- Equipment maintenance and calibration knowledge
- Attention to detail and data integrity management
