• Implement Islamic banking business initiatives for the branch to win new business and grow wallet share.
• Understand and sell all retail and business banking Islamic banking products that meet customer needs.
• Grow a personal portfolio and cross-sell to deliver set targets.
• Conduct market intelligence to identify new markets, customer trends and regulatory changes.
• Plan and coordinate marketing approaches for new business and develop existing relationships.
• Appraise and resolve customer complaints and escalate where necessary.
• Ensure KYC and AML processes and documentation are adhered to on new and existing business.
• Ensure accounts are booked correctly and all fees, commissions and charges are collected.
• Maintain turnaround times in account onboarding and loan processing and protect branch NPS scores.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A business-related degree from a recognised university.
• Experience in Islamic banking is preferred.
• Familiarity with banking products and services such as accounts, savings, loans and credit cards.

Skills & Competencies:

• Detailed knowledge of Absa retail and business banking products.
• Knowledge of Muslim banking culture and the Islamic banking competitor landscape.
• Customer service excellence and complaint handling.
• Risk, KYC and AML compliance awareness.
