• Implement Islamic Banking business strategic initiatives for the branch to increase new business and wallet share
• Understand all Retail and Business Banking Islamic Banking products that could satisfy customer needs
• Manage portfolio risks in line with the bank's portfolio appetite
• Contribute to development of Islamic Banking branch sales strategy and marketing approaches
• Grow own portfolio and cross-sell to deliver set targets and ensure quality new-to-bank accounts are funded
• Monitor own performance against targets daily and address customer issues promptly
• Ensure excellent customer experience and adherence to turnaround times
• Adhere to KYC and AML processes and ensure proper documentation for new and existing business
• Comply with operations risk requirements and manage costs within the area of operation
• Carry out branch snap checks as assigned and ensure accurate capture of customer information in the core banking system
• Support capacity building and complete assigned training and e-learning activities

Qualifications & Experience:

• A business-related degree from a recognised university
• Experience in Islamic banking is preferred
• Familiarity with banking products and services such as accounts, loans and cards

Skills & Competencies:

• Detailed knowledge of Absa retail and business banking product strategy
• Knowledge of Muslim banking culture and Shari'ah law, board and audits
• Knowledge of Islamic financial instruments
• Understanding of the Islamic banking competitor landscape
• Customer experience focus and sales drive
• Risk and compliance awareness
