Job Description
The Junior Financial Manager will assist the Financial Manager in handling the day-to-day financial management of the dealership. Key duties include reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, overseeing debtors and creditors, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting stock audits. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance within an automotive dealership, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in dealership financial systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support daily financial operations of the dealership
Reconcile bank statements, cashbooks, and general ledger accounts
Oversee and manage debtors and creditors
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Generate cash flow forecasts
Ensure compliance with tax regulations such as VAT and PAYE
Assist with inventory and stock control audits
Collaborate with department heads on budget and cost control
Maintain internal controls and assist in year-end audits

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
2–4 years of experience in a financial/accounting role, preferably within an automotive dealership (essential)
A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and dealership financial software (e.g., Automate, Kerridge, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Good organizational and communication abilities
Ability to perform under pressure
