Information Technology Officer

Description (Public)

The Information Technology Officer supports NEMA's ICT function, maintaining servers, networks, hardware and software, supporting users and keeping the Authority's environment information systems secure and available.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain servers, networks, computer hardware and software
Provide first-line ICT support to staff and troubleshoot system faults
Administer user accounts, backups, antivirus and system security controls
Support and maintain NEMA databases and environment information systems
Maintain ICT asset registers and support ICT procurement specifications
Document ICT procedures and train staff on systems use

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

O and A level certificates
Bachelor's degree and postgraduate qualification transcripts and certificates where applicable
Professional certificates where applicable
Employment letters as evidence of experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field

Skills & Competencies:

Hands-on knowledge of networking, Windows servers and databases
Troubleshooting and user-support skills
Attention to detail and data security awareness
