CJ's is recruiting a hostess for its Nairobi restaurants. The role is the first point of contact for guests and sets the tone for a relaxed, memorable dining experience.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Welcome guests on arrival and manage seating and reservations.
Manage waiting lists and keep guests informed during busy periods.
Coordinate with waiters and managers to balance table allocation across sections.
Present menus and answer guest questions about the restaurant and its offerings.
Keep the reception and front of house area tidy and presentable.
Handle guest feedback with poise and escalate issues to management.
Maintain a lively, welcoming presence and excellent personal grooming.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or certificate in Food and Beverage Service or equivalent.
One to three years of experience in a fast-paced or fine-dining restaurant.
Lively, outgoing personality with excellent personal grooming.
High emotional intelligence and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
