High/Low-Pressure Leak Testing Operator

Description (Public)

The High/Low-Pressure Leak Testing Operator starts up and maintains the leak detector, sets test parameters per product model, tests units under high and low pressure, records results and reports machine faults and repeated leak failures.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Start up the leak detector and carry out daily maintenance and servicing checks
Set the test parameters for each product model
Test units under high and low pressure and read the results correctly
Recognise and respond to the machine's leak alarms
Record test results accurately and separate any failed units
Report machine faults and repeated leak failures to the Line Leader

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Technical background or experience in refrigeration or appliance testing is an added advantage
Ability to operate and maintain testing equipment

Skills & Competencies:

Attention to detail and accurate recording
Quick response to alarms and faults
Understanding of pressure testing safety
Good communication with the Line Leader
