Job Type: Full-Time


The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within an establishment, ensuring high-quality service, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, budgets, menus, and overall operations to maintain standards and exceed guest expectations.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Operational Management

    • Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operations of food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service.

    • Ensure the smooth execution of food and beverage services in line with company standards.

    • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement to maintain consistent stock of food, beverages, and supplies.

  2. Staff Management

    • Recruit, train, and manage food and beverage staff, including chefs, servers, and bartenders.

    • Develop staff schedules and allocate tasks to ensure efficiency.

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance employee skills and morale.

  3. Menu Development

    • Collaborate with chefs and bartenders to design appealing and cost-effective menus.

    • Introduce seasonal or promotional menu items to boost sales.

    • Ensure all menu items meet quality, presentation, and safety standards.

  4. Customer Service Excellence

    • Monitor customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, feedback, and suggestions promptly.

    • Ensure a welcoming atmosphere and personalized service to enhance guest experiences.

    • Regularly review customer feedback and implement strategies to improve services.

  5. Financial Management

    • Prepare and manage budgets for the food and beverage department.

    • Analyze financial reports, monitor sales, and control costs to achieve profitability targets.

    • Implement cost-control measures, including waste reduction and efficient resource allocation.

  6. Health and Safety Compliance

    • Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in compliance with regulations.

    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.

    • Train staff on proper food handling and safety procedures.

  7. Marketing and Promotions

    • Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract more patrons to the food and beverage outlets.

    • Organize events, theme nights, or special promotions to boost sales and engagement.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the visibility of F&B services.

  8. Reporting and Analysis

    • Prepare and present periodic performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.


Experience: 

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage management in an international five-star hotel, preferably in a hospitality or catering environment.


Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage trends, operations, and regulations.

  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and inventory management software.

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle complaints professionally.


Work Environment:

This role requires a mix of office work and hands-on involvement in food and beverage service areas. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
