How to Apply
1. Data Collection and Processing
Enhancing data collection procedures processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data.
Identifying valuable data sources and automating collection processes.
Undertaking preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
Cleaning and preparing data for analysis.
2. Data Analysis and Modelling
Analyzing large amounts of data to discover trends and patterns.
Building predictive models.
Mining and analyzing data from the Funds databases.
Interpreting data with a clear objective in mind.
3. Model Development and Implementation
Building predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
Coordinating with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Implementing analytical models into production.
Building analytic systems and predictive models by experimenting with new models.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
Engage with different stakeholders in and out of the Fund to facilitate the achievement of departmental and organizational objectives.
Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders within and outside the Fund.
5. Strategic Planning and Alignment
Ensuring data quality and integrity of the Funds data.
Development of auditable, flexible, repeatable, and scalable ETL capabilities.
Participate in the development and tracking of the department's strategic planning initiatives to ensure that they are aligned to the Funds strategy.
Review previous strategic initiatives and support improvements.
Understand the changing business needs and advise on findings
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Robotics, Big Data or Data Analytics are an added advantage
Work Experience:
3+ years of working experience in Analytics and Data Science with expertise in applying analytics solutions to business problems in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the financial services sector.
Key Competences:
Technical skills:
Data science and analytics capabilities with proficiency in programming languages like Python & R
Robotics Process Automation
Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques and algorithms.
Experience using Database systems of SQL
Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools like PowerBI
Understanding of cloud platforms, such as Azure and Google
Business skills:
Critical thinking and a Problem-solving mindset
Understanding and comprehending Business strategy.
Communication and interpersonal skills
Collaboration & stakeholder management
Ability to meet deadlines and manage project delivery.
Excellent report-writing and presentation skills
Business advisory skills
